We were considering buying a custom mirror, but saw the unique shape of this and decided it would look great above the fireplace if we displayed it in a diamond-like orientation. For the price, we did NOT expect to need to take off the hardware in back and re-install them to support the mirror. There were a couple very minor finish dings. The reflection has some minor waves. However, for us, the unique shape and rich color of the finish win out and we are keeping it.

This mirror is large, impressive, gorgeous,and the wood has a rich finish. I put it in my dining area, which is really just the other end of my kitchen. It is so classy! I put a makeshift buffet under it w. buffet lamps and it makes the room.Totally love it! Compliments from company, too. The only improvement would be to label the hooks for proper orientation. I think there is more than one way to hang it.
