When this piece arrived, I opened it warily, observing several puncture wounds in the cardboard from what I can only assume was rough handling in transport, and I found the mirror completely shattered along with 2 cracks in the frame. Both the cardboard and styrofoam packaging were far too flimsy to have gotten the mirror there in one piece. I'm not sure what the manufacturer was thinking going cheap on the packaging (I work for a popular furniture company closely with our shipping dept, so I'm aware of necessary safety and care in shipping, there was less than an inch of styrofoam on either side of the mirror, and the cardboard was thin as well, providing little to no prevention from bending and cracking if jostled or stacked). Hayneedle ended up telling me to throw it out and are sending me a second one, though I requested that it be packaged much better this time and shipped through a different company (which they took note of and were very apologetic and accommodating about, to their credit). Hopefully this time it will be a better experience, otherwise Hayneedle will be out nearly $500 in profits and I'll be back to square one in my search for a bedroom mirror! Fingers crossed!
