What Are You Reflecting?
What are you reflecting? Mirrors are great for reflecting open space but be mindful of what your mirror is reflecting back into the room. Make sure your mirror is reflecting something back that is pleasing to the eye such as soft candle light, a great silk floral arrangement or framed artwork.

Accents Make the Room.
The space in your home should be functional, friendly and inviting which means many people select neutrals and things that blend into each other. But just by adding a couple key accessories, you bring life and personality to your room. Select some stand outs with bold colors or patterns that make the room come alive against neutral backdrops. And with your accessories adding sizzle, it's easy to change, update and keep your room's design fresh.

Change Is Constant.
Console tables are fabulous additions to your home because you can use them in a number of different settings. The simplest means to update your home is to rearrange your existing pieces. Start off with establishing a central focus point for the room - something that you enjoy looking at design around this central point. Console tables can be introduced and placed behind a sofa, or placed flushed against the wall. Put a console table in your home with a coordinating mirror and you can create a new focal point in your room. Console tables are extremely versatile and always serve as a great finishing touch to any room.

Keep It All in Proportion.
Try to accentuate tall or open space with pieces that match its scope. Don't fill large wall spaces with several small pieces - you may fill space but lose balance and create a cluttered look. Instead, choose one or two dramatic items that match the proportion of your design space.
