          Excited about installing this medicine cabinet in a "surface-mount" version and through a painful process, realized that a surface-mount kit for this "deep" medicine cabinet didn't exist. Very exhausting and disappointing experience overall. I did have some good customer service, but there was a lot of time wasted. I am opting to go with the same type of cabinet right now that isn't as deep. I have yet to install, but so far the surface mount is compatible.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

              Because I had a very large opening, I bought two cabinets and installed them right next to each other. Wow!! They look fantastic!

              What fantastic quality. Even the hinges (made in Germany, I noticed) are very high tech. And because the doors are quite heavy, the hinges are incredibly strong. Easy to install.

              I guess the saying is true: "You get what you pay for."

                Q1: If I used this cabinet as a surface mount, sitting on a counter, will the sides be mirrored?

                A: This cabinet does not come with mirrored sides because it is designed to be recess mount installed.

                Q2: I would like to gang 3 recessed units together. Do I need a gangable attachment kit?
